Maerd (2004)

838 images.
65 swfs.
306 mp3s.

Maerd (2004), the word dream backwards, a chaotic interactive audio-visual archive.
All media was titled so as it appeared, it acted as lines in an evolving combinatorics collage audio-visual poem.

A few things are broken since it was born 16 years ago, flash died, and php had updated so i had to refactor the code without debugger.

The background images changed when clicked on, which launches an mp3 title auto-playing to the mouse click site. Same for changing the foregrounds or videos: click on them to change and it launches a mp3 to the mouse clik site. The info line shifts to a new height and the video changes size.

Chaotic reconsolidation of imastic debris.

I wish i had learned to empty the arrays as the random repeated so as to avoid repeats and move toward combinatorial potency, but i didn’t figure that out until 2005. Sigh.

Maerd in Flash format is here.
